I am a writer, blogger and a mom to two teenagers. I use this blog to document all the exciting and mundane things that happen during the middle age years.
I have over 20 years of experience working with parents and families. After earning a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, I co-developed an academic support skills curriculum at the Duke Child and Family Study Center. Recently, I published a book about teaching problem-solving skills to girls. My special interests include troubleshooting challenging behaviors and teaching advocacy skills.
Be sure to get in touch if you want to talk about parenting during the teenage years. It is a lonely world out there for parents of teens. Let’s change that!
